March/April

Dear Brewer Island Families,
The month of March is flying by! This next week at Brewer Island will be very busy with activities that I would like to highlight as we look forward to a welcomed spring break.
Her are the events to look forward to:
Spring Book Fair – Opens Friday morning, March 24th and will be open until Thursday evening, March 30th. I encourage BIES families to stop by the library and purchase books! The book fair will be open for two evening events as well: Tuesday, March 28th from 5-7 pm and Thursday 3/30 during our annual Open House and Art Showcase from 5-8 pm.
Come prepared to grab some dinner on these two nights as a taco truck will also be on campus!!
Open House – Teachers and students have been very busy preparing for the BIES annual Open House!
Open House will be held on March 30th from 6-7 pm. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to see what your child has been working on all year in their classroom! Please come ad join us for classroom tours as we celebrate a culmination of student works and projects. And don’t forget to stop by the Bake Sale to pick up some yummy treats. The Bake Sale is hosted by
Ms. William’s 2nd grade class! The sale will be in two locations: outside of Room 15 and the BIES gym.
Art Showcase – The BIES Art Showcase will also be held on the evening of March 30th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to stop by the gym, which has been transformed into an art museum from our Art in Action student work. There are many beautiful pieces of student artwork that you won’t want
to miss!!
As always, we are so appreciative of all the tremendous support from our parent community, and we look forward to seeing you this coming week.
Enjoy the beauty of this time of the year. I wish everyone a refreshing and relaxing spring break!

Warm Regards, Gregg Elliott
